2008 SoCal Beach Soccer BU8 GOLD CHAMPIONS

Arsenal FC (AFC) would like to congratulate the 2008 BU9 White-South team for winning the BU8 Gold Division in the 2008 Southern California Beach Soccer Championship at the Oceanside Harbor held on May 3rd and 4th. Coach Cliff Moss led his team by dominating their opponents with relentless play throughout each game. Their toughest competition in regular pool play came against a very good team in FC Heat (4-3 victory). The same two teams met again in the championship game but this time the boys made a few adjustments capturing their first tournament title with a 4-0 victory.

After a very busy pre-season, the team has been looking forward to get on the pitch and play their first tournament of the new season. With the addition of a few “solid and relentless” players (Oscar Delgado, Taylor Brown and Connor Vilter) there are plenty of excitement and anticipation for the 2008 season. Returning players are as follows: Cole Shaffer, Emilio Rodriguez, Casey Chavez, Nicholas Money, Matthew Kingston, Justin Rodriguez and Andrew Casals.
